About Us

The owners of the business are two sisters, Barb Lewis, Amy Lewis and Stephanie Kern, Barb's step daughter. Barb spent a lot of her life working with horses, from training to everything in between. Barb, a cancer survivor herself, created a cancer camp for kids, where they would spend time on Barb’s property learning about horses and completing many different tasks. During her life and travels, Barb started doing different things, but eventually would hone her skills at soap making. With some help from her sister, Barb decided to open a  business and name it in memory after her mother’s favorite flower, the Rose.  She looked forward to spring and was overjoyed to see new rose buds blooming.

Amy has lived in Michigan her entire life. She’s always liked helping others, so she went into the home health care field. She has a love of glass, and has been collecting it, throughout her life. She’s managed to get a large collection, including Fiesta Ware. She always hoped to own a business where she could sell her collections and thanks to her sister, they are now co-owners of The Rose Soaps, Candles, Etc. In addition, Amy while working with her sister has found a passion for creating products that will help people, which at her core is exactly what she’s always wanted to do, help heal people. 

Stephanie aka Stevie, also started her painting and jewelry as a hobby. Her jewelry started as simply beading at first, but as she grew her talent she learned to use silver in her creations. Her paintings came after her jewelry.
